His career began in 2009 with his election as Corporator of the Ahmednagar division in the GHMC Municipal elections. This initial success quickly paved the way for greater responsibility. In a remarkable demonstration of his leadership potential, he was entrusted with the pivotal role of the Mayor of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) from January 2012 to May 2014. At just 31, he became one of the youngest mayors in the country. To hold this esteemed position, a testament to his early promise and the trust reposed in him by the party leadership. During his tenure as Mayor, his stated priority was “visible development by taking up works, especially civic infrastructure, in Greater Hyderabad and provide corrupt-free administration.” He also emphasized the party’s commitment to ensuring basic amenities across all divisions without increasing taxes.
